Celebrating the holidays during the first year of the COVID-19 Pandemic was a challenge no one thought we’d repeat in 2021. The restrictions imposed on visitation and social activities due to the COVID-19 Pandemic have caused a spike in reports of depression, anxiety, and suicidal thinking in many environments. Residents, their families, and your staff have all been working through the emotions brought on by stress, isolation, and fear. This session explores strategies your community can employ to inspire warmth and good cheer during this very different holiday season. Addressing emotions and providing behavioral health support to the members of your community is a focus of this conversation.
